Gantry is a tool for operating and monitoring GRBL-class CNC routers. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information.
The app has no user accounts and no login.
The app contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking.
The only network connection the app makes is to a backend server that you choose and operate. Your machine data flows between your device and your server — it does not pass through the developer.

What the app accesses

Internet / network (the only Android permission requested)	To connect to the Gantry backend you configure and exchange real-time machine state, jog/G-code commands, and settings over HTTP + WebSocket.	Only to the server address you configure.
On-device storage	To remember your preferences: theme, dashboard layout, selected machine profile, recent connections.	Stays on your device. Never sent to the developer.

The app does not request access to your contacts, location, microphone, camera, photos, call logs, SMS, or device identifiers.

Data you create

Machine profiles, G-code files you load, GRBL settings backups, and the event log are stored on the backend server you operate and/or locally on your device. The developer has no access to this data and does not receive a copy of it. You can delete it at any time by removing it from your server and/or uninstalling the app.

Data sharing

We do not share any data with third parties, because we do not collect any. Communication occurs solely between your device and the backend server you designate.

Security

Connections to a remote backend should use HTTPS/WSS (encrypted). We recommend an https:// backend for any connection that leaves your local network.

Children's privacy

Gantry is a professional/hobbyist machine-control tool. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above.
